I am buying a building on land contract. One year later the seller would like to come in and inspect the property. There is nothing in the contract about inspecting the property.

  • Jim W:

He can ask, if the contract is complete, granting permission is up to the new owner. If the contract is not complete, consult an attorney.

  • Bernie K:

It does not have to be in the contract, it is normally part of the verbiage in the deed that the property has to be maintained and the note holder/lender has a right to assure that it is.
If in doubt, consult a real estate attorney.
